Moving into a new home is the perfect time to get your EV charging set up the right way. A lot of homeowners put it off and end up dealing with slow overnight charging on a standard outlet for months longer than they should. We got called out to a brand-new Pebblecreek home in Goodyear to take care of it before the owner settled in.

Here is what the work actually looked like. We pulled a dedicated 50-amp circuit through the garage wall - fishing wire through clean access points in the drywall so nothing ended up surface-mounted or exposed. That is the part most people do not see, but it matters a lot in a new home where the walls are still pristine. Keeping the finish clean was a priority from the start.

We installed a hardwired ChargePoint wall connector as the charging unit. ChargePoint is one of the most trusted names in home EV charging - it gives you app-based monitoring, energy tracking, and reliable Level 2 charging speeds that a standard outlet simply cannot match. Hardwiring it instead of using a plug-in setup means a more secure, permanent connection and no worries about an outlet wearing out over time.

The finished result sits flush against the wall with zero visible conduit or messy wire runs. It looks like it belongs there - which is exactly the point in a new build. Getting this done early means the homeowner plugs in every night and wakes up to a full charge without thinking twice about it. That kind of convenience adds up fast.

If you are in the West Valley and just picked up an EV - or have had one for a while and are still using a basic outlet - a dedicated home charging setup is worth doing right. We work throughout the Goodyear area and handle everything from the circuit work to the final charger install.
